In the event of a storm, there seems to be a number people knocking on our doors from out-of-state. They sometimes say that they are affiliated with local groups when you ask about warranty work.

However, ask yourself one question before signing an agreement:

• Customer relationships are important to us and much of our business comes from referrals from our current customers.

Contact Us for a Free Inspection

1. Check if the Contractor is licensed to do business in the State of Minnesota by contacting Sec. of State (800-657-3602).
2. Ask for proof that the Contractor and people working for him are insured.
3. Ask for references!
4. Make sure that all oral promises are in the written contract.
5. Be sure that the name, address, license number, and phone number appear on all invoices.
6. Be suspicious if you’re asked to pay for the entire job up front. The down payment should be no more than one-half of the total contract price.
